The task of the CMS Conference Committee (CC) is to promote and to organise the presentation of results of CMS to scientific fora. These include international, and some selected national, conferences, workshops, symposia and the like, henceforth labeled "conferences". Invited presentations at major laboratories shall be regarded as conference talks. A list of such venues can be found in a supplementary document posted on the web page of the CC.
CC shall actively pursue the goal of an equitable distribution of talks throughout the whole Collaboration.

The scope of the CC includes
-- all conference talks proactively requested by the CC or by the CMS Management
-- all talks requested from CC or from CMS management by the conference organizers
-- all other conference talks whose major subject is the presentation of CMS results
